As I read through some of these comments, I've realized that I left a lot of you out to dry over the last few months. Well, I felt that the name I had chosen was too limiting, albeit the majority of my new posts on the new site are electro-related, it's not all about music as it is about a certain type of entertainment. Anyways, I'll be adding new tracks to the new site as often as I can, and of course you can link back here for the older stuff.

Just got back from a 48-hour party in Muskoka with Kenny Maclean and Platinum Blonde. What a gong show that turned out to be, but I was lucky enough to have experienced their talents up close and personal and spent the night inebriating and taking in all of the stories they had.

So far, I've only come across one worthy track, and again it was DJ MRK (also previously from Platinum Blonde) who showed me the way on this one.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I suppose you can look at it that way.

Not in this case, though. This is either mockery or a blatant knockoff. Yes, deadmau5 may have a style not necessarily appreciated by all, in fact, probably hated by some. Either way, he is a talented and young producer that has made his mark on EDM.

To mock him would be nothing more than an attempt to slow the natural change and progression of, yes, in his case, progressive house.

To mimic him would be flattering but still an example of a lack of willingness to appreciate new talent.

What started out as a thread on tranceaddict, will hopefully raise a little awareness of this, albeit small, musical highjacking.

Finally. For those of you who care, I don't use Beatport to download my tracks. Although some of you may scoff at the fact that there is little evidence to support that I do legally purchase music given the appearance of this blog, I most certainly do. I just happen to use the, albeit debatable, mp3skyline.com website to purchase my beats. I opened with finally because unfortunately mp3skyline.com isn't stocking this banger at the moment. Number three on Beatport's top downloads for a reason. This is my first experience with Wolfgang and it's all good.
